A storm that moved into southwest, western, northern and northeast Manitoba has already dumped 70 to 100 millimeters of rain since Monday and the province is warning of potential flooding.
The most rainfall is expected along the north end of Lake Manitoba and Lake Winnipeg including The Pas, according to a news release from the province. This area could receive up to 120 mm of rain.
The Swan River area has already seen 30 mm of rain and is expected to receive another 30 to 50 mm.
The province warns that overland flooding is possible because of the already saturated ground. Overbank flows are expected on streams and drains.
